The part of my transition to William Penn Real Estate Associates that I appreciate most is the freedom to run my real estate business and to not just be a cog in the wheel of a “big brokerage”.
William Penn understands that a good agent does not need the brokerage nearly as much as the brokerage needs good agents. This brokerage conveys that best by allowing agents to keep the large majority of their earned commissions, and by offering a generous referral and sponsoring bonus to its agents.
Paul and Bron are extremely helpful and prompt in returning calls and e-mails whenever there is a question. The brokerage offers as much or as little support as you need and has a quick turnaround time on issuance of commission and deposit checks. It is a pleasure to work with a company more interested in helping you build your business than asking you to help them build their business for them.
It would be difficult to convey my appreciation for the support and genuine care that I received from the entire William Penn office staff.
As for any new Realtor®, the challenges are daunting enough. Just knowing that your brokerage firm is there for you and offering encouragement, rather than reaching in your pocket (or your client’s) for more money is a real blessing. Besides that, the most exciting thing about William Penn is the “culture”. It is an open-minded, open-handed atmosphere, where ideas are listened to and shared by office staff and Realtors® alike.
Having worked in real estate for 18 years, I have observed both sides of the industry – agents who truly care for and serve their clients, and those who don’t.
It was my first phone conversation with Paul that made me hopeful I had found a brokerage whose vision and ethics were truly client and customer-centric. Paul confirmed that it was the case in our next meeting. He explained it this way: “If after getting to know a person’s needs, you and the client decidethat the best thing to do is NOT list their home, then don’t. Find out what is best for them and serve them in the way that best meets their needs.”
That is exactly how I choose to do business and it was refreshing to find a broker who takes the Biblical Golden Rule seriously. I look forward to partnering with a broker and a staff who care for others and practice win/win negotiating that keeps the client/customer’s best interests at heart.

I feel blessed to base my real estate career at William Penn Real Estate Associates.
After joining the office in 2013, I have come to appreciate the flexibility in defining personal business objectives and goals, as well as the support to accomplish them. I value the positive, encouraging office climate each day, and the genuine willingness for agents to work together.
Our management staff has been very accommodating during my transition to William Penn and I am excited to experience the growth that my career has had recently. I anticipate appointments with buyers and sellers with confidence, knowing that our broker fee can be negotiated and adapted to achieve our client’s goals.
William Penn Real Estate Associates provides the broker platform that allows real estate agents to reach their fullest potential and an atmosphere to explore and implement new ventures within our local real estate markets.
I first met Paul in 2010 when I was looking for funding for a property I was looking to purchase. He guided me through the process of purchasing that property, finding a buyer for it and also finding subsequent properties.
He was first class in helping me get started in real estate research and education. He prodded me towards getting my real estate license, which I eventually pursued and obtained in early 2013.
I enjoy working with a team of people who are first class, are willing to go “the extra mile”, and who have similar values of service and integrity. I would highly recommend William Penn as a brokerage to help build your real estate portfolio.
Our brokerage offers the best splits in our area and does not “nickel and dime” us with extraneous office fees and charges. The goal at William Penn is for each associate to be successful in growing their own business. I feel encouraged and supported by Paul, the office management, and my fellow agents and I am very happy I made the switch. I celebrated my one year anniversary with William Penn Real Estate Associates in April with 2013 being my most productive year to date. I am excited about the future!
When I was going through school to become a Real Estate Agent, the thought was always in my mind that I wanted to sign with a brokerage firm with a great environment and where I would be surrounded by people with values. When I think of the word “company”, or in this particular instance “associates”, it is really about the people. I feel that we are all here for the same purpose: to learn from each other and share ideas. And that’s really what it’s all about because in turn, this type of behavior is passed on to my clients. William Penn has been great thus far and I continually look forward to being a great asset to the firm.
My previous real estate experience was with one company for about 17 years. I enjoyed showing, selling, and listing properties and I eventually became part owner of said company. As time went on, I made suggestions in areas where I could see room for improvement. Very few things were actually implemented over that time.
Then, a few years ago, a friend of mine started talking to me about William Penn and it sounded really good! It took me those few years to make the move to William Penn but it’s definitely more satisfying to have the freedom to run my own company within another company. Many of my suggestions are already in practice here. Of course it’s an added bonus to get a bigger percentage of the commission! Talk to me if you have any questions about William Penn!
I appreciate William Penn’s low overhead structure which allows me to choose what services I wish to buy. It’s scalable to fit my needs. Most other brokerages require agents to pay for expensive sizzle which I do not feel serves my interests or the interests of my clients. Consequently, I receive more of the compensation that I have earned and I never feel taken advantage of.
Further, Paul and the staff are genuinely interested in my success. He makes time to help me grow my business and help with issues I have encountered. “Transparency, Fiduciary Responsibility, & Integrity” is the motto of William Penn and it is not just lip service. I feel at home at William Penn.
I feel blessed to have had the good fortune to hang my license at William Penn Real Estate Associates. From day one I knew I was at the right firm. I’ve had the privilege to witness the firm grow from 3 agents to 15 agents, and it’s still growing at the time of this testimonial. The reason for their growth is simple: they value people. This comes from the top down and includes customers, fellow Realtors®, and everyone else that comes through the door. Everyone is treated with respect. The William Penn culture is based upon a belief system that is summed up by the golden rule:
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
There are many reasons to work for William Penn Real Estate Associates, including: receiving an attractive Broker/Agent split, and working in a team atmosphere alongside honest, hardworking, caring people. But I think the biggest advantage I personally experienced was that the firm was interested in actively helping me succeed in my career. They provided mentoring, referrals, and the support I needed. This is truly a great company with great people.
“I am at William Penn because of Paul. Paul’s commitment to integrity and his attention to detail stood out to me, particularly in an industry where I have sometimes encountered substandard levels of professional skill and care. I have experienced firsthand Paul’s desire to have both his clients and his Realtors® succeed. His leadership and forward thinking at the brokerage have allowed him to bring together a team of people that work well together as they grow both the brokerage and their own personal real estate businesses.”
